Filled with some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, Sydney is the place to visit on your Aussie adventure.

First time in Sydney? No worries. Three days is just enough time to get an introduction to one of Australia’s favourite cities. Your days will be jam-packed with seeing the main attractions, heading out of the city for incredible mountain range views, and a chance to see an iconic beach.

Ready to get started? Here’s what your three days in Sydney could look like!

Day One: See The Main Attractions

On your first day in Sydney, you’re going to want to see the iconic highlights. Start the day by checking out Paddy’s Markets, filled with all kinds of market stalls. From here, you can venture up towards Darling Harbour, which is home to attractions like the Sea Life Aquarium, Wild Life Sydney Zoo, and Madame Tussauds. You won’t have time to do all three attractions, but you can certainly fit one of these in!

Next, you’ll want to head down to the lively area known as The Rocks. Amazing food and shopping are here, along with fantastic views of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You could even do the bridge climb and see the breathtaking views over Sydney on your first day!

The Royal Botanic Gardens is right next to the Opera House. It’s certainly worth spending some time wandering through and seeing the different gardens.

Day Two: Visit the Blue Mountains

For another big day, you can go out and explore the Blue Mountains! The Blue Mountains are a rugged mountain range, about an hour’s drive from Sydney CBD.

If you book this tour, you’ll meet some Aussie animals at Sydney Zoo, see the Three Sisters, and experience the three different rides at Scenic World. A tour is one of the best ways to see the Blue Mountains if you don’t have access to a car.

You’ll aim to spend about a day in the Blue Mountains. But as you come back, check out the Opera House and Harbour Bridge at night and see these attractions light up. Grab some dinner in Circular Quay and admire the view.

Day three: Check Out Iconic Beaches and Delicious Food

On your final day in Sydney, head out to Bondi Beach, one of Australia’s most famous beaches. You can learn to surf, go for a dip in the ocean, or walk along the white sand. There are plenty of trendy cafes and bars in the area for a bite to eat.

Head back towards the city to Central and grab delicious Asian food down Spice Alley. A short walk from here is where you can find some magical cakes at Koi Dessert Bar. Trust us, it’s worth it.

Later in the evening, venture down to the Australian Museum. The museum itself closes at 9 PM, so you have plenty of time to check it out to conclude the night.

If you’re arriving in Sydney via plane, from Sydney Airport, there is a train that takes you to some of the main train stations. If you arrive in Sydney by train, you’ll arrive at Central, making it easy to get a train, bus, or tram to where you need to go.
