Thredbo

With hundreds of thousands of visitors making their way here each year, Thredbo in New South Wales is a much-loved mountain region. It’s as popular in summer as it is in the peak winter snow season.

Located roughly 6 hours from Sydney, a tour here will begin the night before. Drive through the night to arrive in Thredbo in the early morning to enjoy a full day on the mountain before returning to Sydney.

Winter Wonderland at Thredbo

Thredbo sits in the heart of the Kosciuszko National Park. The skiing and snowboarding opportunities are loved by pros, amateurs and those who sit somewhere between the two. Thredbo is home to Australia’s longest ski run.
The alpine village is the perfect place to put your feet up after a morning on the slopes, with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Summer at the Summit

From November this region transforms into a hiker’s dream. The extensive trails of Thredbo make for the perfect day out. Walk from one spectacular viewpoint to the next. For those who prefer to cycle – the mountainous terrain and views along the way mean this won’t be your average bike ride.

There are walks suited for all ages and fitness types. Hike to the top of Australia’s highest mountains – Mt Kosciuszko – for those who feel up to the challenge. If you are short on time or don’t love a hike- you can take the chairlift and find yourself at the highest point above sea level.
