OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
Join us on a small group, 2-day tour through Cradle Mountain National Park with return transportation from Hobart! Dive into Tasmania's wilderness, keep an eye out for native wildlife spottings, and much more.
Day OneBegin the day adventuring deep into the wilderness of Tasmania by way of New Norfolk. Explore Mount Field National Park and walk amongst the tall eucalyptus trees. Really, these trees are some of the tallest on the planet! While strolling through the forest, stand beneath Russel Falls and keep an eye out for platypus that may be hiding nearby. Later, stop in Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National park to take in the scenery and enjoy a walk. Then, explore the mining village of Queenstown and learn about its fascinating history. The evening will be spent at a lakeside motel near Cradle Mountain.
Day TwoThe second day will begin with a drive through the rainforest before arriving in Cradle Mountain National Park. This area is full of pristine wilderness and scenic walking paths. Be sure to bring a camera and capture the stunning scenery of the mountains and their surroundings. Try to spot a wild wombat and hike the popular Dove Lake Circuit, or take on the challenge of Marions Lookout. A scenic drive back through the highland lakes and mountain ranges will lead back to Hobart around 5:30pm.
