Local craft beers and quaint boutique shopping. It really has everything you could need so we’re breaking down all the best bits of Apollo Bay for you!
Apollo Bay Beach
The Apollo Bay Beach is known by locals as ‘paradise by the sea’ and it’s easy to see why! Pristine white sand and a long foreshore make it perfect to set up along for the day. Patrolled during the summer it’s a great spot for a swim with the family, while small waves off the shore make it perfect for new surfers. Accredited surf schools hold workshops in the soft waves helping to get you standing up on a board. Dog-friendly in certain locations, you can find pooches enjoying a splash in the water, meanwhile, you can easily spot the best fishing spots by the hoards of locals all hoping to reel in a beauty.
Apollo Bay Beach is one of the best beaches along the Great Ocean Road. If you don’t have time for a swim, grab some fish and chips and eat on the sand, or walk with your feet in the water while enjoying some ice cream.
