Each year the Moonlight Cinema heads to Botanic Park. Watch new releases and old favourites on the big screen under the stars! Take a picnic with you or settle in on their special Gold Grass.

Head down to the sidelines of the Tour Down Under. Follow riders for a whole stage or visit the start or finish lines for the day to get involved in the festivities.

It’s Twenty20 season, so head down to Adelaide Oval to enjoy some of the best fast pace Cricket in the country. The games quick pace makes it great entertainment for the whole family.

Enjoy a beach concert at Castaway Festival. Glenelg Beachfront turns into a rave for one night only. Catch international super acts as they put on a show to remember!

7) Crush 2020
Enjoy a long lunch at Crush 2020. The weekend festival is devoted to stylish wines, regional produce, chilled out music, art and theatre. General entry is free to most venues, and your souvenir wine glass is only $10.

8) Go for a swim
Enjoy Adelaide’s fabulous beaches and head to the sand for a day of swimming and building sandcastles. It’s the perfect way to cool down in the summer heat.

10) Watch the NYE fireworks
New Year’s Eve is usually pretty warm in Australia, which makes it perfect for sitting outside and watching firework displays. Head down to the beachfront to watch the fireworks over the bay at 9:30pm and midnight to celebrate the beginning of 2020

South Australia is known world-wide for its great wines, but they also have some fantastic breweries. Pop into a few and explore the delicious craft beers Adelaide has on offer.

St Kilda Adventure Playground is just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and is a kids dream. With a castle, slides, pirate ship, maze and more it’s the perfect family day out.

15) Go shopping
Adelaide has some fantastic stores to be explored, and we’re certainly not complaining about their delightfully cooling air-con. Plus, if you go later December or January you should be able to grab a post-Christmas bargain!
