Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria and the second largest city in Australia. It’s easy to fall in love with the city with its historical buildings, amazing art museums, and lively atmosphere. Our Melbourne Morning City Tour shows you the highlights of the city, making it easy to understand why the city is admired by so many.
Your half day tour will include lots of must-see locations throughout the city, giving you an idea of Melbourne’s charm. Enjoy the fascinating architecture across the city, from historic buildings to unique designs. St Patrick’s Cathedral was created with sandstone and bluestone, featuring a style of Gothic-revival architecture. The Royal Exhibition Building dates back to the late 1800s and is a gorgeous structure surrounded by the lush Carlton Gardens. Some of the city’s modern architecture can be seen at Federation Square and in Melbourne’s Art Precinct.
If you’re a fan of sports, you’ll enjoy a visit to Melbourne’s Sports Precinct. Here you’ll be able to see some of the largest stadiums in Australia. You’ll also have a chance to learn about Australian Rules Football, which is a sport that’s unique to the country. Albert Park is home to a range of sporting fields and Melbourne’s Formula One Grand Prix circuit.
Just south of the Yarra River, you’ll see the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. The gardens are full of a diverse range of plants and breathtaking landscapes everywhere you look. Next to the gardens, you’ll find the Shrine of Remembrance. The memorial was created to honour Australians who have served throughout history in conflicts across the world. Melbourne’s popular seaside suburb, St Kilda, is located a short drive south of the city centre. Many locals and travellers visit St Kilda for its quaint restaurants and cafes, the iconic Luna Park, and the relaxing beaches dotted along the coast.
