OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
Enjoy one of the world’s most spectacular coastal drives! Leaving Melbourne we pass through the surf coast to see some of Southern Australia’s beautiful beaches. Twist and wind along the spectacular Great Ocean Road enjoying awesome coastal photo opportunities. We continue our picturesque journey, stopping along the way to spot cuddly koalas and colourful native birds in the wild.
We first arrive in Anglesea where we will make a stop in front of the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, where you can snap some pictures of this famous gateway. Enjoy some lunch (own expense) in the picturesque seaside town of Lorne before continuing along the coastal roads, stopping at lookout points along the way to take more pictures!
In the afternoon, explore Otway National Park on a guided walk through Melba Gully before arriving at the Shipwreck Coast. Learn about the tragic tales of sailors who met a watery grave at Loch Ard Gorge, and view the remarkable rock formations from the coastal cliffs. After dinner (own expense) in Port Campbell, we arrive just before sunset at the breathtaking 12 Apostles for the experience of a lifetime. Admire the incredible scenery as the sun dips behind the horizon before we hop back on the bus to return to Melbourne.
