OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
Be spoiled on this Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Day Tour. This small group tour allows you to explore the renowned Hunter Valley region and sample the area's finest wine and produce.
New South Wales' Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine-growing region. The first vines in the Hunter Valley were planted by families in the 1820s, making it the oldest wine region in Australia. Hunter Valley Semillon is widely considered the iconic wine of the region, but the Hunter also produces wines from a wide variety of grapes, including Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Verdelho.
On today’s journey, you will visit three wineries and savor up to 20 different wine varieties. You will also embark on a behind-the-scenes wine experience where you will learn about the winemaking process. Enjoy wine tastings at two wineries before a delicious bistro lunch with your choice of beverage – you could even pair it with a wine you have tasted.
In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the array of Hunter Valley shops and produce as we visit the Hunter Valley Gardens Village and Pokolbin Village. Stopping at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company, you will have the chance to sample Belgian chocolates before visiting the final winery, and then departing back to the city.
