See the world-famous Three Sisters landmark in the Blue Mountains.

There are heaps of hiking trails and lookout points dotted throughout the Blue Mountains. One of the most popular lookout spots is Echo Point, which offers spectacular views of the iconic Three Sisters. If you want to get even closer to the famous landmark, you can take the Three Sisters walk.

Where is the Three Sisters walk?

The Three Sisters walking track is a fairly flat walk that offers views across the Jamison Valley. It is wheelchair-accessible and family-friendly. You can learn all about the area from the Echo Point Visitor Centre before beginning your walk!

The walking path starts near the Echo Point Visitor Centre. From here, you can walk the 0.8 km return trip for a scenic stroll. You may have a chance to spot the fascinating lyrebird or crimson rosella during your walk. You will also notice the haze from the eucalyptus forests that makes the mountains appear blue.

· Prince Henry Cliff Walk

The Prince Henry Cliff Walk is a more challenging walk that runs 7 km each way. It will take three to four hours to complete the walk, or you can just hike part of it. It’s not a very challenging walk, but there are some steps and gentle hills. Because of this, the hike is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

There are over 20 lookouts on this walk, each offering unparalleled views across the Blue Mountains. Keep an eye out for some of the gorgeous flora that grows along this track including the yellow and gold flowers in the summer.

You can make an entire morning or afternoon out of this hike. Bring your camera to take lots of photos and relax at one of the shaded spots along the way for a picnic!

· Giant Stairway

The Giant Stairway connects Echo Point and Scenic World. This challenging walk is over 4.5 km each way, so be sure to plan for two to three hours of hiking. The hike is very steep and contains a lot of steps, so it is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

This hike will lead you to the first pillar of the Three Sisters. The hike is worth it but be sure to dress accordingly and use proper footwear. We’re not kidding – there are over 800 steps to climb!
