Gear Hire
You can acquire all the snow gear and equipment you need at the resort. Lake Mountain offers a variety of packages for both kids and adults, as well as individual rental items available for hire on-site.
Skiing Lessons
Lake Mountain provides a range of ski lessons catering to both kids and adults, beginners and cross-country enthusiasts, with durations ranging from 30 minutes to one and a half hours. Options include group or private lessons, with the choice to include all-day equipment hire in the price (skis, boots, and poles). If you’re new to skiing, the advice and tips from your experienced instructor will have you feeling confident in no time. Opt for a beginner lesson, and you’ll be mastering the fundamentals before hitting the ski trails.
Play in the Snow
Lake Mountain features fantastic slopes for exhilarating activities. Hop on a toboggan (available for just $15 to hire) or experience the rush as you slip and slide down the Tube Run in giant inflatable tubes! Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery as you glide down the snowy slopes.
Go Cross-Country Skiing
Lake Mountain boasts an extensive network of well-maintained trails spanning over 30 kilometers, perfect for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. If you’re familiar with the activity, simply strap on your skis and set off to explore the picturesque surroundings. Afterwards, embark on a snowy hike!

When the chill sets in or hunger strikes, take a break at the resort café. Indulge in a selection of delights, from coffee to hot chocolate and other tempting treats. Additionally, the café hosts an alpine shop, ideal for snagging any last-minute gear essentials, whether it’s sunglasses, cozy hoodies, or winter jackets.
Join a Lake Mountain Tour

Departing from Melbourne around 8:00 am, our journey takes us to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Upon arrival, you’ll have three hours to explore at your leisure. Whether you opt for the thrill of tube or toboggan rides, cross-country skiing adventures, or scenic hikes with mountain vistas, the options abound. After soaking in the beauty of Lake Mountain, we’ll conclude with a hike to witness the majestic Steavenson Falls. As we head back to the city, we’ll make a stop at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery, where you can observe chocolate-making processes, treat yourself to sweets, and enjoy complimentary tastings. With hearts and bellies full, we’ll return to Melbourne just in time for a satisfying dinner.
