Adelaide is a marvellous town that has rightfully earned its place as one of Australia’s top tourist destinations.

Visit Adelaide

This charming, tranquil city on the Torrens is dotted with ornate architecture, lush gardens, sandy beaches and an events calendar that puts megacities like New York and Rio to test!

You can easily spend three days in Adelaide, heading to a festival, wandering through town and ducking up to the Hills for a bit of R & R, or you could spend a whole week there, fully immersing yourself in the beauty and peace of the City of Churches.

Either way, you’re in for an amazing time, and here’s why…

It’s a top festival city

We meant it when we said Adelaide has an events calendar to rival New York or Rio, as Adelaide is home to two of the world’s best festivals in the Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide!

The Fringe is a riotous extravaganza where some 7,000 artists congregate over a few days to take part in some 1,300 shows covering everything from burlesque to circus, dance, film and theatre.

WOMADelaide, conversely, is more of a music-centric event, perfect for anyone who wants to come to town to see some of the old favourites and find some awesome new acts to add to their gig list, as there are a massive plethora of acts to choose from…

Go for a stroll

After all that partying, it’s only natural you might want to take a chilled day to meander around this quaint city. Adelaide is just about a big city but holds onto some of that small town charm, making for the perfect place to relax and stroll around its gorgeous parks, gardens and waterways!

All you have to do is follow the River Torrens and this will take you through Elders Park as well as some awesome bars, cafes and restaurants to recharge and refresh along the way…

Head for the Hills

The Adelaide Hills are located so close to town but feel like a world away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Simply hop in a car and drive up to Hahndorf, where family farms, top produce and German heritage culture await you in ideal, rustic surroundings.

It’s the perfect place to chill out on your amazing Adelaide adventure!
