Full Day McLaren Vale Wine Tour with Hanhdorf

We start our adventure in the centre of Adelaide, heading off to see the fabulous attractions scattered about the city! Pass the iconic Adelaide Oval, and discover the best eateries to enjoy in the city. After roaming about the CBD, we will head to Mount Lofty, where you will be met with jaw-dropping views of the entire Adelaide city region. A perfect photo opportunity for your next Instagram post!

After snapping some shots at the lookout, we will then head to the charming town of Hahndorf, a historic German settlement which boasts a wonderful number of cafes, boutique shops, and pubs! Here you will have some free time to wander down the main street of Hahndorf, stopping into the friendly shops lining the road.

The tour will meet up again and hop to our first winery stop. We’ll spend an hour at Chapel Hill's Cellar door, a hundred-year-old chapel that was converted into this chic winery. Sit back and relax while sipping on the range of wines available for tasting, taking in the glorious art and history of the building as well as the greenery surrounding it.

Next on the agenda is the Main Street of McLaren Vale, home to a number of cellar doors, sweet shops, and cafes. Spend an hour exploring the street and filling your bags with goodies to take home, before meeting up with the tour again.

It’s time for the Shingleback Winery, for one last wine tasting experience for the day. If you are a bit peckish and looking for some grub to enjoy with the wine, why not try the cheese platter available?

Finally, you will hop back on the bus and set off on the scenic route back to Adelaide. We’ll cruise down the Adelaide coastline to give you extraordinary views of the beachfront region. Our last stop will be at the seaside suburb of Glenelg, where travellers can choose out of two experiences on offer. Option 1 will include a short stroll along Glenelg’s beach and surrounds, before hopping back on the bus to head back to Adelaide. Option 2 includes finishing the tour off here and having the rest of the day to explore the Glenelg suburb, heading back to the city via tram when you’re ready.
