OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
Explore everything Kangaroo Island has to offer on this two-day tour that takes in the stunning wildlife and beautiful scenery that characterises this part of Australia.
Day 1 (Lunch & Dinner)
Aboard the coach as we make our way to one of South Australia’s most iconic locations. Enjoy the scenery along the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula as we make our way to Kangaroo Island. Once we reach Cape Jarvis we aboard the ferry and enjoy a relaxing cruise over the Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw. Upon arrival our tour guide will introduce himself before we make our way to a farm to witness a live, authentic sheep-shearing experience.
Next, we will visit the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery where we will have the chance to learn the distillery process. This eucalyptus distillery is one of the last remaining in Australia. You will then have the chance to check out the store and enjoy an appetising lunch. After a relaxing lunch we will make our way to the home of a rare colony of Australian Sea Lions at Seal Bay. This colony of endangered sea lions is the third largest in Australia. After you have learnt all about the seals from your expert guide and have taken ample photos we will make our way to the Little Sahara. You will have the chance to sandboard down the large dunes or take a walk to enjoy the scenery. We then head to our accommodation for the rest of the afternoon to spend how you please.
Day 2 (Breakfast & Lunch)
After a delicious breakfast we will make our way to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can meet some sleepy koalas, get close to some kangaroos and meet other iconic native Australian wildlife. If you haven’t seen enough Australian animals, you’ll enjoy our next activity. The Raptor Domain is a rescue and rehabilitation centre for Australian birds of prey, offering you the chance to admire Wedge-Tailed Eagles, Sea Eagles, Kookaburras and different owls all up close and in action. Be amazed during a 'Birds of Prey' display and see these magnificent Australian raptors in action. In the afternoon, tuck into a tasty lunch at Emu Bay Lavendar farm, get photos with the stunning purple fields as a backdrop, and enjoy the afternoon to spend how you please. Unfortunately the tour then comes to an end and we make our way home to the South Australian capital.
