Sled down the hills
Lake Mountain has some fantastic slopes to check out for exhilarating activities. Jump on a toboggan or go tubing to experience a thrilling adrenaline rush. You’ll be surrounded by amazing mountain scenery as you fly down the snowy slopes!
Go cross-country skiing
There are over 30 kilometres of trails that are well-maintained for cross-country skiing. If you have done this activity before, you can snap on your skis and begin exploring. If you are new to the skis, take a lesson from an experienced instructor. Taking a beginner lesson will allow you to practice the fundamentals before hitting the ski trails.
Take a snowy hike
Lake Mountain is decorated with scenic hiking trails. If you’re looking to embark on a snowy hike, you’re in for a treat! You will feel as though you are surrounded by a winter wonderland as you explore the resort trails.
Visit the café
If you want a break from the chilly air or are craving a snack, stop by the resort café. Here you will find a selection of goodies including coffee, hot chocolate, and other delicious sweet treats.
There is also an alpine shop located in the café, which is a great place to pick up any last-minute gear. From sunglasses to soft hoodies and winter jackets, the alpine shop has you covered.
Join a Lake Mountain tour
Are you ready to explore Lake Mountain? Join our seasonal Lake Mountain day tour!
Our unforgettable day tour begins as we depart from Melbourne around 8:00 am. We then make our way to the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Once we arrive, you will have three hours to spend however you wish.
Maybe you will decide to hit the slopes on a thrilling tube or toboggan ride. Or perhaps you are keen to check out the cross-country ski trails. There are also a number of gorgeous hiking trails offering stunning views of the mountains. After exploring Lake Mountain, we will take a hike to view the beautiful cascades of Steavenson Falls.
On our journey back to the city, we will stop at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Here, you can see how the chocolate is made, purchase some sweets, and indulge in complimentary tastings. After a fulfilling day, we will arrive back in Melbourne just in time for dinner.
