OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
Just a short trip from Darwin, Litchfield National Park is home to spectacular waterfalls and impressive natural landscapes. Join us as we explore this incredible wilderness, enjoying a dip in one of the famous waterholes and keeping an eye out for the local wildlife along the way.
After we depart from Darwin in the morning, our first stop of the day is the Adelaide River. Join the optional Jumping Crocodiles Cruise to journey down the river and watch the local crocs leap from the water to feed, learning about these fearsome predators with fascinating commentary. Or, head to the Fogg Dam Conservation Centre where you can wander the walkways and admire the wetlands, looking out for the wildlife and birdlife that call the area home.
Next, we travel to Litchfield National Park, stopping on the way to admire the weird and wonderful magnetic termite mounds. We stop for a dip at either Buley Rockholes or Wangi Falls, both top swimming spots for travellers and locals alike. Feel invigorated by the fresh waters, chill out in the shade or take a walk through the surrounding monsoon forest to explore the beautiful Top End environment.
Get your camera ready to capture the impressive views at our final stop of the day, Tolmer or Florence Falls. We’ll take a walk through the bushland of the Tabletop Range to the best viewpoints to admire these towering cascades. Enjoy one last view of the amazing Litchfield National Park, then we’ll head back into Darwin, arriving in the early evening.
