OVERVIEW OF THE TOUR
The Barossa Valley is Australia’s most famous wine region. Nestled just an hour’s drive from Adelaide, the valley is home to over 150 wineries. Explore the best of Barossa’s sights and wines on this action-packed one-day tour with an expert guide.
The tour begins with a departure from Adelaide, heading towards the Adelaide Hills. Our first stop is Gumeracha, where you can admire the world's largest rocking horse! Climb to the top for a small fee ($2) to take in the incredible view or grab a morning coffee. We will then visit the mysterious Whispering Wall—the dam wall at the Barossa Reservoir, famous for its unique acoustic properties.
Next, we’ll visit our first winery of the day, Kies Family Winery. Wander through the cellar door and sample their award-winning wines. Learn about their family business and deep connection to the region while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Then it’s time for lunch! Start with a wine-tasting experience at Lambert Estate, where you’ll discover 11 diverse grape varieties cultivated across their expansive 250-acre estate. Among their most popular wines are Shiraz and Cabernet, crafted with a commitment to sustainability. After the tasting, savour a stone-oven pizza lunch paired with your favourite wine selection.
Afterward, we’ll capture some stunning photos from the top of Mengler’s Hill Lookout before heading to Tanunda, where you'll have 45 minutes of free time. Still thirsty? Check out Z Wine for another wine tasting, or visit the German-inspired Rehn Bier Brewhouse to sample traditional beer styles.
After a day of exploration, we will make our way back to Adelaide, where the tour unfortunately ends.
